Wash Day

(1) Pre-pooed with Hair Trigger on my scalp, Mizani Supreme Oil Mask on the length of my hair, I needed to use this conditioner up so I chucked using an oil on the length of my hair for this wash.
(3) Tea rinsed using green tea and peppermint tea.
(4) Applied Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment for 5 minutes then rinsed.
(5) Wrapped my hair in a towel for 15 minutes to soak up the water from my hair (I never apply conditioner to soaking wet hair). Deep conditioned with my steamer using KeraPRO Restorative Treatment (you can check out my review here).
(6) Wrapped my hair in a towel for about 30 minutes. When my hair was about 70% dry, I applied my leave ins: Silk Dreams Wheat Germ Butter Conditioner and serum, Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum and detangled my hair.
(7) After detangling, I applied aloe vera gel to my edges, brushed it in a little, and tied my hair down with a silk scarf to let it air dry.

Another routine wash day ending in air dried hair. My hair still dries smooth but my new growth and texlaxed hair are drying fluffier and fluffier... my bone straight relaxed ends look so puny in comparison. I will jump for joy the day I cut the last bit on bone straight hair off. I haven't deep conditioned with KeraPRO in a while but when rinsing it out, I noticed much more shed hair in the hair catcher than when I rinse out Silk Dreams' Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Dream... didn't like that.

I need to cut back on wearing my hair in a ponytail during the week because my ends seem to be suffering from it because the end of my ponytail rubs against my clothes. Gameplan for the week is to moisturize with my tried and true Darcy's Botancials Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning Creme, seal with grapeseed oil, rock a bun, and deep condition on Tuesday.

  1. I don't think I've trained my hair well enough to dry completely straight. And my roots are doing the puff thing too. Can't wait till I can bun but the back has broken off a bit and doesn't make for good buns yet.

  3. Hi Jeni, I love your blog, and your hair is soo beautiful! You have done and amazing job with. Your site is so informative, with new products, how you use them and your regimen; you are very disciplined as well. I have two questions for you. One, can you stay a natural (meaning no chemicals), and use the products you discuss with success? Two, do you have (you have probably mentioned this someone in your blog) high porous or low porous hair? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

  5. I have so much to thank you for! You were the first person to have a similar curl pattern and hair texture to mine, every recommendation you have made has truly helped me. But what caused me to make my first comment here is my gratitude for you putting Paul Mitchell in my life, my hair FINALLY after being relaxed for 13 years has found a range of products that it really likes. I cannot thank you enough!!! Really keep all the good work! From a huge fan in London!! xx

  6. I'm trying to decide whether or not to relax. What helped you make your decision? In your opinion/experience which helps the hair grow faster/retain length?
