| I got four uses out of this 8oz jar |

I was able to get 4 uses out of one 8 oz jar (this might be a helpful reference if your hair is the around the same length or longer, thickness, density). Regarding its consistency, it's very thick when it's scooped out but soaks right into my hair on application. To be honest, when I first used it, I wasn't sure it was going to be all that effective because in my mind, because it didn't feel like I actually had conditioner in my hair. Turns out I was wrong. After using it for a month straight (I use it after I shampoo, applying it to damp hair and using my heating cap for an hour), it has consistently moisturized my hair, leaving it so soft and fluffy once dry (how the hair feels when dry is the true test). It makes my hair so smooth, and y'all know I love smooth hair! I've also found that I do not need to moisturize and seal as frequently during the week because my hair is so well moisturized from deep conditioning. Lastly, it rinses out well; it doesn't cling to my hair at all.
The creator and owner of Silk Hair Dreams is a member of LongHairCareForum.com (Supergirl) and was actually one my first hair-inspirations when I first started my HHJ. She provides great customer service. One of the items I purchased during the last sale wasn't in the box so I sent her an email about it. She answered the same day, apologized for the slip-up, shipped out the product the next day and gave me a free shipping code. I appreciate great customer service!
Overall, I like this conditioner and plan on keeping a jar (or 3 . . . #judgmentfreezone!) in my stash. I bought a jar of Silk Dreams' new Avocado Pudding Silky Conditioning Cream during the last sale. Hopefully it's a winner just like this one.
Have you tried the Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Dream conditioner? Like it? Hate it?

Sounds yummy. I'd love to try this product but shipping to Canada is with a minimum 75 plus 25 shipping. Hopefully silk dreams will expand.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, def going to check her out! Scents and I dont go well together so I;m glad you pointed this out. Once done with my Darcy's DC im going to purchase this one. I loveee vanilla!
ReplyDeleteIve been eyeing this product for awhile now. I've nothing but great things about all her products. I think I'm going to allow the product junkie in me to buy it. Thanks for always helping me find ways to spend my money!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI've heard nothing but great things about all her products.
DeleteThe last line simultaneously made feel a little bad for fueling the habit bad and cracked me up LOL. My friend called me a product junkie's worst nightmare haha.
DeleteLol..no problem. How would you rank this conditioner to the matrix biolage conditioning balm, which by the way I absolutely love
DeleteI love the Matrix Conditioning Balm but I think I'd pick this one before it. This one helps smooth my hair on top of leaving it well conditioning, and I just have no memory of the Matrix CB smoothing my hair
DeleteI haven't tried the vanilla yet, but I have tried the shea what deau (protein free)
ReplyDeleteDC, and the Mocha Silk Infusion DC
Love them both 10/10
That's great to hear because I want to try the Mocha Silk next!
DeleteI haven't tried it but sounds amazing from your review. Lovely consistency from the pictures and also yuh blog a shat! (this Jamaican term means it's great/neat/awesome)
ReplyDeleteThanks! lol
DeleteI really want to try this and the Chocolate Bliss conditioner when she opens the store back up. I am a deep conditioner junkie. Can't wait to try them out.
ReplyDeleteFellow deep conditioner junkie here lol, I want to try the Mocha Silk Infusion next.
DeleteSounds and looks delish!! I want to try this.. I'm a deep condish junkie :O)!
ReplyDeleteI am too, lol!
DeleteI love the new look to your blog!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat review. I may get a jar or two if she has a black Friday sale this year.
ReplyDeleteI HOPE she does!
DeleteI got my Vanilla Silk and Chocolate Bliss in the mail today. I got two of each and one of the Chocolate Bliss Conditioners were missing. I got the same speedy response and a code as well. Great customer service.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered this in the "Silksational Bundle". I got 2 Vanilla silks and a Go Moist cleanser. I can't wait to get it in the mail, I'm bouncing off the walls inside. Lol! I'm also a deep conditioner junkie, I like to use my deep conditioners as a leave in too. Have you ever tried a little as a leave in? I've found that my 4b hair LOVES DC's as a LI! They leave my hair moisturized for DAYS! I don't have to moisturize again until the next wash day at the end of the week!
ReplyDeleteGo Moist is on my Black Friday wishlist haha.
DeleteI just received this conditioner before reading this product review. I only bought it for preventative measures lol, but I may make it a permanent DC if I find myself liking it. I will invest in the Avocado, dont know why I didnt do it already, but as I am 8-9 weeks post IDK if it will get to me in enough time to affect the decision on stretching to 12 weeks.
