My Assessment:  Right off the bat, I love this conditioner. Pros: First, as I've mentioned before, I like when conditioners are packaged in jars so of course I like the packaging of this conditioner. Having the product in a jar makes it so much easier to get every ounce of product. Even though I cut open bottles and tubes, it's very convenient when it's already packaged in a form that makes it easy to scoop out the product. This may not be a big pro for some, but it's a plus to me.

Fragrance-wise, this conditioner has a non-overpowering pleasant smell.

This conditioner seems to just sink into my hair after I apply it. I've used this conditioner to deep condition after washing my hair and each time it's left my hair soft and moisturized for days. I'm two months post and have to moisturize my new growth every few days, lest it feel dry and crunchy. I deep conditioned on Friday and six days later, I haven't moisturized my new growth once. Of course the level of softness has decreased but not the point where I feel it necessary to moisturize.

Because I have fine hair, how much a product weighs down my strands matters. Luckily, my hair does not feel weighed down after use. My hair feels soft and fluffy. As for the consistency, this conditioner is on the thick side, which I like, but not as too thick, and still has a creamy feel.

Cons: There isn't much product in this 5 oz jar for nearly $10.99. That's about it for this category.

Overall, I really like this conditioner. It leaves my hair soft and moisturized for days. I will definitely repurchase and rotate with my other staple conditioners.

  7. Great review, the product junkie in me is awake :). One question, do you detangle your hair before you wash or do your hot oil treatments? Or do you only detangle after the leave-in conditioner?

    Thanks

  9. Hi Jenijen!
I used the kera pro restorative treatment yesterday, and I LOVED it! At your suggestion I bought it during the $5 special at Sally's. It melted into my hair like butter in a warm pan. I knew this condish was something special immediately. My hair felt moist with plenty of slip. Thanks for the review and recommendation! Keep up the great work!

  13. Do you use this as a moisturizing DC or as a light/medium protein DC. I love this conditioner, but I'm having a hard time figuring how it will fit in y regimen. I usually alternate weekly between a moisturizing DC and a protein DC, but I can't figure out what this one is.

    1. I find that it moisturizes my hair but also imparts a little bit of protein. If I do a protein treatment, I wouldn't reach for this to deep condition with afterwards. My guess is that if you're alternating between moisture and protein every week, using this conditioner, you may find that that the need for a protein treatment may diminish because this conditioner two proteins as the 7th and 8th ingredients.
