My Assessment:  I was a little hesitant about the serum to be honest. When I read the back of the bottle it seemed like this serum was promising a breakage stopper in a bottle - it left me a little skeptical. This serum is a little on the thick side, which I wasn't expecting. I used it on my hair while roller setting and found that it made it a little harder to detangle. I've grown accustomed to easier detangling when using my other serums (CHI Silk Infusion and PM Super Skinny Serum) so the consistently of this serum was a little off putting. However, where this serum fails me in consistency, it lives up to its anti-breakage promise. After I applied, the amount of breakage from manipulation while roller setting was noticeable. I had actually applied PM Serum to a portion of my hair and Organix Coconut Milk Serum to another portion to test it out against a staple and could really see the difference in terms of breakage when comparing the number of hairs from the PM Serum section and the other. When my hair dried, my curls were a bit firmer than when I use PM Super Skinny Serum, but that's perfectly fine with me. Even after days since I last used it, I haven't experience any breakage from normal manipulation. Really, my only complaint is the thickness and slack of "slip" when detangling, and aside from that I really like this serum and will definitely rotate it with my other serums.

With smiles,

  1. I agree- this serum definitely stops breakage. I don't get as much shine as I do from the PM Skinny Serum, though.

  2. I have the other serum from that line. Its the Brazilian ever straight keratin anti-breakage serum (a small brown bottle).
I think it has pretty good slip and leaves my hair soft after applying.

  3. I may try that once I'm done with this bottle... I would really like a serum
geared towards breakage, but with slip.

  4. Hi Jenny,
I've been using this for a while and it rocks. It truly does help with breakage; I just wish it came in larger bottle.

  6. Is using it daily too often? Will that lead to a lot of buildup?

    1. I haven't experienced product build up from it, it's a fairly light serum, but should be applied in small amounts

    1. Yes, but monitor whether your hair is protein sensitive... you don't want to tip your moisture/protein balance.
